ya your a dum ass for jacking you car up like that. you should never youes hockey pucks. a peas of wood would be better and also jacking on the pinch rails is just asking to mess your shit up. you alwas jack from the fram NOT the pinch rail. if you dont know how to lift a car you have no biznes trying to do aney of this

I'm hyper paranoid about jacks doing things that they shouldn't after having a scissor jack twist and break on me and having the pos jack that came with my E46 BMW break when the little plastic piece broke, resulting in my fingers getting smashed in between the rear fender and the rear wheel that I'd just taken totally off but was still in thw wheel well. Luckily for the car but not for my fingers the car fell just right to where it was resting on that wheel, with my fingers stuck in between the wheel and the fender. I was able to lift the car just enough with my free arm to slide my hand out. Now every time I jack a car up I'm on thw ground watching exactly what the jack is doing and I'll also have a second jack, a scissor jack or a bottle jack that's a backup for the floor jack. Every inch or so I'll raise the backup to match the floor jack. I also don't trust those "lips". I find a spot on the frame or maybe a control arm.

Moral of the story...buy a house worth more than your car so you dont have a shit garage floor. Honestly, that the worst garage floor i have ever seen.

To avoid somthing like this in the future using scrap blocks of wood 2x4 and 4x4 instead of hockey pucks is much more stable if you need spacing like in the video. Also if you have ramps under the back like this lift the front all at once from the front not the sides like that and you will avoid some funky twisting and slippage. Lastly the surface where the jack is riding is very important to be smooth!!! The jack needs to roll as it goes up to stay where it needs to be on the car!!! Very important!! The issue is you ut a car on ramps then tried to jack up one side of the front of the car . Not a good way to do that. Rather jack the car from the front so the car lifts even and less chance of the car moving off the ramps. Then put jack stands under the car and lower it onto them a much safer way to work on a car in the air.

I mean it's a nice idea but iv been jacking cars up most my life I go straight for the brace in the wheel where the jack stands go in the hole I bypass all the pinch welds lol or if I'm lucky I get fork lift under the whole thing with some silicone bed on it or something

I hope you're doing better now. I'm in the middle of a valium taper rn. About half way through and yeah. Cutting that much that fast just would not be possible for me either. Even going slowly is awful enough. I'm at 6mg of valium and just that will take me another 6 months or so.

I have an M5 competition. After the downpipe installation, white smoke has started to come when the engine warms up. only when gas is applied and released. Can't see that it uses cooler fluid. I think the oil consumption is normal. What do you think it could be? Anyone else here with experience?

Your jack needs a head that works for your car, they sell ones with tall heads for cars like this, you need to get one and never use hockey pucks again.

Remove the skirt and use 1 puck... also, your floor is super rough and doesnt allow the jack to move properly. You need a flat surface.

Looked like the problem was the jack moving while you were jacking it up.
